The most "civilised" part of Altay with well-developed infrastructure. Great for making a rafting trip or taking a vacation on a tour base.

Travel Time: 4 hours from Barnaul, recommended to spend at least 1 day.

The main highway between Russia and Mongolia is very picturesque and has a lot of interesting places of interest along the way.
Activities: ancient carvings, trekking on glaciers, mountains, swimming, meeting local people, snowboarding, alpinism, visiting ancient tombs, and salted lakes
Travel Time: 6 to 12 hours from Barnaul, recommended to spend at least 5 days.
