Hi all, I have booked airtickets and got invitation documents. I have made arrangements for 16 or 17 days. Today, I went to apply for Tourist visa at Russian Embassy in Chennai, India. The visa officer told me that the Tourist visa can be issued for 14 days and asked me to come back with new changed air tickets. However, I read somewhere in this site or someother site that tourist visa can be issued for one month. My case is single entry. I have told the visa officer that i have read like 30 days validity. He told me to check with him again after two days. Can any one please clarify me the validity period for russian tourist visa being issued to Indians at India?? Has any travelled from India to russia with Tourist visa?? Please help me !!! What can I do to get visa for 16 or 17 days ?? I have booked all the local and international tickets. Cancelling will cost me much money ( Quick response is appreciated.
