Ok well being that it is winter...the flowers and the tress and all that is bare and things are slushy and muddy...but today it is +1 C so not bad at all. Ok the downtown is fabulous architecture...pre revolution as they say here and so much survived WWII. For me I absolutely love the buildings. Ok as far as people...I have had no problems what so ever and actually I find it so funny when they speak to me in Russsian as if I understand them...seriously I have gotten really good at listening and carrying on full conversations on things I have no idea about...quite funny. Ok the the people are nice and helpful. In SPB people would yell at mistakes...here they go out of there way to assist. Some people love to talk politics and tell me how fucked up the GOV is here and how they want to remain close to russia...and others have the opposit opinion...so I do not have a clear picture as to the view of this place. I have seen a few foriegners with women...way too good looking for these men and young. Then I have seen foriegners with heavy set women too. Now having been here I see that yes there are plenty of over weight people here. But still they are the minority. I noticed people to be very tall. Ok the buses are something as people will crowd them jam packed. I find that the driving is more civil than in SPB and other places. Ladas are definitely the vehicles mostly used. And my goal is to come back this summer and see this place in full bloom. I have a friend from the states who wants to see this place too so he and I will rent a flat and really live for cheap!! Anyways. Ok back to down town...it's all about shopping here...so many nice stores and fashions and it is expensive...more than twice of the states. Also I notice so much chinese products here...utter junk too. Lot of Churches and buildings are all being restored. But Yes I do like this place...it does have something to offer. But what we have in the States is so very nice and user friendly...nothing can compare...we do in fact have it better in so many ways. |

Once they get money and work lots, then get fat. I know because I was at the Aquapark in Kazan
. Watch the video on Sex Slaves in which they reported Odessa woman traffic capital of the world. How these women are being sold, raped and forced into prostitution is absolutely horrific. They should a group of ladies who went to Turkey to become domestic servents. The cute ones were sold and forced into sex slavery.
It is must watch.

It's not just Odesa. Last summer in Klaipeda, Lithuania I was approached by a guy who offered me money to get a girl from Kaliningrad into Germany. I may have been targeted as I had the only GB plates in town.
The girl was to be delivered at the border crossing at Morskoye and dropped in Hamburg. I was to have the services of the girl meantime. Needless to say I declined politely. Just as well as my car was turned over at the Polish border 4 days later!
I since found out the conditions that the 3,000+ prostitutes in Kaliningrad are working under, with the highest rate of HIV infection in Europe. Girls smuggled out of the city are enslaved on arrival in Hamburg. |

They believe over 80000 women are enslaved in Germany. These ladies are forced to have sex with 24 - 50 men a day. These men consider these women as sex toys. They pay extra for new girls to do it with comdom and they eventually die of HIV.
You wonder why women in these country are willing scam, but if you see what others are done to them, you cannot blame them.
But it is the mafia and bureaucracy that benefits from this. All this is developing a hatred between the west and east, so some fat Boris can makes money on someelse's hope to turn it into misery. |

I saw it and thought it was very good, although very very graphic at points. Viggo Mortensen (sp?) is great in the movie. I read that he was in Russia for a I believe a few months to work on perfecting the Russian accent and mannerisms. |

I saw it in french version, very good movie (like any David Cronenberg movie). Well, very good performing from Vigo Mortenssen and I was a bit disapointed by Vincent Cassel (Kirril)... sometimes his accent didn't remind me a Russian one but closer to a Corsican accent LOL |

Hi, so I asked my boyfriend what the russian elderly lady thought of me...and aparently she really likes me so I made a good impression. She's giving my boyfriend glowing words about me so that's good.  She seems to be someone important in his life, so I wanted to be sure I didn't offend her when meeting her. | Yes it's very sad that these women are forced and allowing themselves into these prostitution rings and human trafficking...so sad...and not just Germany...the whole world. Beautiful women too. Russian prostitutes are every where...Lebanon...Dubai...Mexico...Japan...China...USA...all of Europe. The fact is we need to educate these women not to allow this. Sad reality is that it is the oldest profession. South America suffers greatly from this too...so sad! |

no...just like I don't notice them here...but if you are in the environment then yes I suppose you would and will. But you will be fine...don't forget they exhist in Louisville too...just most men don't like the fat ghetto bootied black woman |

Yeah, there are alot of prostitutes in Louisville. I have to admit that. 7th Steet is full of them. |
