That's because, back then things were not aired for publics knowledge like it is today. That stuff remained quiet. Why wouldn't it? That would keep travelers from vacationing or visiting. Believe it or not that hurts a countries economy when there is a fear of that sort. Who wants to know all that, so they kept alot of news of that nature silent. The same thing here in the USA, 20, 40, 60, whatever years ago you rarely heard those things happening because they didn't want to fear the public. Places need money so they are not going to warn people of those negativities. Now a journalist will risk arms and limbs for a story and will face charges just to air it to the public. This gives them a pullitzer for sticking their noses in these situations or even risking their life. So this slavery of women has been going on forever. It's just been modernized. Women were sold on the streets in public over 2,000 years ago. Women were never viewed as a person. Always a sex slave. Horrible. Women just need to watch where they are walking and keep their eyes peeled around them and not with a "ipod" stuck on their ears. Those are the ones that get grabbed and hauled off in a black van.

I will guess that the slavetraders "back then" were as precise as the nazis - writing down every single slave. This was business.
Today's slavetraders don't care how many slaves they have as long as they produce money. If a few slaves are lost, there are more to be bought or abducted from Moldova or Lithuania.
Also I cannot really understand why so many women still apply for wellpaid jobs as servants, dancers or maids - there must have been a thousand documentaries and movies what really is hiding behind the "proper job-facade".

SB, it is risk reward system. It is like a marriage to foreigner. It can be hell once they are here or not, but when you have nothing, they are willing to risk it.
One lady on the program went because she had to get money for her brother who dying(eventually died) from cancer caused from Chernnobyl. The traders know which women to pick up and take to Turkey. They give them false stories and such. They go and are sold, raped, then put out for prostitution. The traders feed off of hope, just like scammers feed off the hope of Westerners. People are naturally optimistic, but it is the wolves of our society that feed off it. If you knew how many boss screw their staff in Russia and if they do not put out, they are fired.
Life is cheap over there.

A little fart or little stinker. Usually this is something you call a kid when they are being mischievious. Just an expression.

My life is not lived like an old maid, but I don't have sex vicariously like the men do when they are frustrated with sexual energy. Men will hump just about anything that resembles a *****, whether it be human or not.

Every woman wants a prince, it just depends on what type of prince she prefers. Very Happy

Ok so i raised the slavery issue here and really the common knoweledge on the street is that most the women know what they are getting into...and that they are not stupid. What's even more scary that i found out that happens here is the trafficking of human body parts from orphaned babies...now that is definitely a crime to innocense

Please excuse me for returning to the trafficing "stuff" for a short moment. I've seen loads of movies and serials about trafficing where super-polices travel all over the world chasing down the thugs and rescuing dames in distress, but there's a rather minimalistic Swedish movie I'd like to recommend - [b[Lilia Forever[/b], because there are no heroes, no great rescue expedions, no monstrous sadists that kidnap young women.
This is simply about a girl who is thrown out of her home, and goes to Sweden to stay with a great Estonian guy who sold her to some dirtbags.
The story ends when she managed to get away in such a bad state of humiliation that she kills herself.
It's a fictional story, but there was acase of a Baltic girl throwing herself off a highway bridge in S. of Sweden.

To return to the discussion - people want to be fooled, and if your living conditions aren't the very best, certainly you are prepared to take a big risk. But still I cannot really understand why the girls do it. Rolling Eyes
