Just to be clear, I wasn't generalizing about all American women. I was referring only to the "loud-mouth American girls in sweat pants, sneakers, with cell phone and starbucks coffee in their hands" that MrSpice mentioned in his post. |
...uh, I'm a size 2 and I like Starbucks, and I do wear my sweatpants when coming out of the gym...I have a few pairs of Manolo Blahnick shoes and I do work out. Soooo...I have to admit I was a little insulted when i read the comments on so called "loud mouthed american women"...I've travelled to many countries and most of them more than once. As such, I've seen the occasional "bad apple" in ALL cultures I've visited. I do have to agree, that when I do see uncultured women it makes me sad, makes me think that "oh well, we were going up in respectability, but you're just shooting us back down".

Have you been to Russia, in your travels CAjules?
If so, what is your impression of Russian women?
For example, are they predominantly eloquent, elegant and and genuine, or cold hearted gold digging floosies, who only consider themselves untill they reach age 30 and run to fat? |

Well, couldn't that be said about some members of our species living everywhere who forget about being a woman? I've met some russian ladies who really looked more masculine and were slightly overweight so...although I think that obesity is a major issue in America predominantly. Recently I've seen both types of russian women: the older, slightly overweight, more manly looking and really beautiful younger women. Today as a matter of fact, I was shopping and one of the store clerks was russian and very beautiful. Then again, her co-workers were also beautiful, really. no joke. I don't really think I've met enough russian ladies to be able to make a judgment call like that. It's too bad that there are women out there who are just out for money and are b******, you know?
Just my opinion. I didn't want to be lumped in with the unfortunate bad examples of the female species. No, I'm not one of those gold diggers either. I am from French heritage anyway. |

It could. However the question I put to you, was specifically about Russian women, in Russia.
I thought you may have some first hand experiences with the cultural side after reading that you are widely travelled. |

It is a subproblem of a bit more complex one - what do people look for in relationship. And the answer to the small one is most likely 'they are looking for the same as if she were russian'. |

Wouldn't it be obvious?? She generally has to have all those bits 'n' pieces that guys don't have, plus not be a "Basic Instinct" type or, in reality, not be the tranny from "The Crying Game".

Funny that we beat American women for being fat and dressing horribly. What about the American man?
No offence Jo, but if you go to small city southern USA, there is a buffet somewhere in that city that everyone goes.
You also have to agree the "give me convenience or give death " cultural has effected its way of life in a negative manner.
Russian women are become everyday more American. When I visit Russia before, almost women took pride in what they wore and men also. You could not find a Russian T-shirt unless it was made for Tourists. Now, they dress worse than people in my city and I have been to wave pool in Kazan and they are getting just as fat. There is less walking and more driving and their diet was alway fatting, but with exercise they could lose the weight.
But Vodka is replaced by beer as the drink of choice also. |

What a shame!!! Convenience is nice but not when it's taken advantage of. I hope there aren't any Walmarts in Russia, that would take the cake and complete the lazy, obese influence. That's not a good way of influencing another culture. 
I wonder then...perhaps i'm more russian than north american. lol...I do tend to take pride in my appearance. |
