|

I noticed that there are a lot of pornographic companies that take East European, including Russian women as models. I read somewhere that it was because outsourcing was cheaper, hence more profitable.
I wonder about the kind of life these women have. What gets them to work in the porn industry? Is it because they come from poor families? Is it lack of education? Is it the ambition to become a mainstream model? From a few photos I saw, they were beautiful and some were even classy. Others looked like girl next door types, and just didn't seem like they should be doing porn.
I personally don't have anything against women in pornography, but the risks involved (i.e. exploitation, drugs, emotional turmoil, blackmail, rape) just make me worry about them. I ask myself if they got into it voluntarily, or were they coerced/forced/bribed? Is it economical? What made them do it? I would try to research, but I wanted to know what you people here thought. I am just curious. |

You should examine the many links in how women get suckered in the sex trade industry.
Why no one responds? Well I am not in the sex trade industry, never hired anyone in this trade, I talked to a couple of these ladies when I was bartending and such.
I think as a travel site, this is not a question to be asked, but maybe an adult site or one of these actor or actresses sites. Else you will receive guesses. |

Threads containing topics similar to this, get 'locked' sooner now. Maybe no one wants to spend much time discussing a topic that probably won't go very far. |

hmmm. let's see... why does a woman, any woman, become involved in prostitution or the porn business (quite often the same thing, right? let's not forget that the average "porn star" isn't ending up in Playboy...)
is it:
a. she likes the sex/attention/feeling that it's all about her?
b. she has no other alternatives due to educational/economic/social issues?
c. drugs/abuse/other very poor life choice decisions?
d. she is enslaved against her will?
you guys are right, though, this is a travel site and not a sexrus (heh heh, I meant "sex 'r us", but realized that it also worked for "sex russia"...) site.
i'm sure there are plenty of sites where there is just a great amount of discourse on this very issue.

Yes, I get that this is a travel site. I guess not too many people wonder about it like I do. And not a lot of people have time on their hands.
I was developing this theory where distribution of pornography is illegal in Russia, hence the perfect entrapment for blackmailing and coercing unwilling girls from smaller cities. But I haven't thought about it much yet. Anyways, I get the point. Will post nothing about sex any further. There ARE much many more interesting topics here, I know. Which I browse. Thanks for the input anyways. |

Sex is not the issue, but I think that it is a business per say and the people here are not from that industry. So you will receive only a guess.
I know that there is sites that have emails of prostitute/porn stars in Russia. Why don't you ask them directly? |

I thought of that, but I think I won't ever get a straight answer. I needed a neutral point of view. But you're right, this isn't the place for that. |

To get answers from unsuccessful ones, you probably need a shovel to dig up the grave.
there is a documentary on the Human Trafficking of women, if you use emule, you should be able to find it. There is one even about Iran which was absolutely shocking and another one about the Philippines.
I think the answer you want is in one word " Hope"
Hope for a better life
Hope to meet a nice man
Hope to live the Hollywood lifestyle
Hope to be perceived as a beautiful model
If you have ever lived the life with the "bad" people of the world (aka organized criminals), they take hopes and dreams from people, then use it to manipulate people in their ways.
I watched a young Canadian girl who just liked to dance and party, go from pretty girl to stripper to a girl who would drop the laundry for cocaine.
Talking with some, almost of all of them regret it. |

Oh, wow. Thanks for your anecdote. I appreciate it a lot. Yeah, you know, you add to the list of Hope: Hope that it's not as bad as I imagine.
But yeah, I think too much. Idleness does that to any person, I guess. I will just do something more productive than worry about people I can't really reach.
Thanks for the input, everybody. |

I hate to ressurect a thread from the dead.... but I thought I could give a little insight here and clear up all the speculation, as I actually have first hand experience in the Russian porn industry and personally know a lot of the girls working in it.
Of course the #1 motivating factor for the girls is money. No one would be lining up to even be a fashion model if they didn't get paid for it. But that's not to say that all girls do it because they have no other options, need a way to support their drug habbit, etc. Some girls are in it just for the money and hate doing it, and others really like sex and really enjoy the work; in addition to the money. There are girls on both sides of the extreme, and everywhere in between. I know because I've intervied many of them for my website.
You can see a bit of the interview I did of a girl who really loves both the sex and the job here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep-Nxt0um10 |

Thanks for enlightening us on porn. We are so ecstatic that I am just giddy as can be. And, I thought this sight was about Russia and Visa's. I did not know a bonus was attached. Maybe, I should reconsider changing my career and becoming a porn star after all since none of us have any dignity left, we might as well get paid for it.
