Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum business so apologies if i'm not doing things in the 'done' way. But i'm pretty desperate so here goes.

I met my girlfriend in Russia last year and after another meeting in New York and again in Russia we decided to take things further and be together. She is currently studying at University (English and French) in Russia but will graduate in June. I have been trying unsuccessfully and perhaps naively) to get a job for her here. She is keen to study here and i think this might be the best option. However, i think in order to do this she will need to visit the univeristy here first. So i thought about getting her a tourist visa. According to posts i've read on numerous websites, it seems as she has no job, home or assets in russia that she wouldn't be accepted for this. Any thoughts? Would it be better for her to arrange a tour via a travel agency and not mention me at all? Would her prospective student visa be undermined by this as I would sponsor her for this?

I've also heard of a prospective students visa. Is this a viable option?

Any help would be much appreciated guys. I'm just desperate for us to be together.

Thanks in advance,

Isn't there an immigration department for the UK that will tell you how to do it?

Or, there are proabably law firms in your country that specialize in immigration matters.
