Interesting NY Times piece on Protestantism, the Russian Orthodox church, and religious freedom:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/24/world/europe/24church.html?hp

The idea of freedom of religion has differing views in Russia and the US. One must wonder how this relates to the idea of political freedom in Russia, as it appears that church and state are now inexorably connected.

Another anti-Russian-govt shit. My mother is Baptist. Nothing ever close to this article. No any problems with government. None. Zero. Even if they have American friends who occasionally send money to their russian colleagues.

So does this mean that those who were interviewed are all liars, or is this something that is an anomaly? You're saying that there is no religious persecution at all in present day Russia?
