I wish to say that my experience with Intergroup was excellent.
It really is true that there are massive queues in the train stations, and from my overall experience in my holiday in Russia I can safely assume that the people at the counter do not have a hint of English.

I got to know these facts just a few days before I was to leave to Russia, and I decided to buy the train tickets with Intergroup through waytorussia.

Alexander replied to me within 24 hours, quoting the prices and alternatives. I paid him online and Alexander assured me that the tickets will arrive on August 4th to the hostel where I was staying via UPS (as I was afraid that the tickets will not arrive to my country on time)

To say the truth I was a bit scared that the tickets would not arrive, but first thing on Monday 4th, a nice knock on the door and there were my tickets exactly as required. Also Alexander includes a note in English stating the seat numbers and carriage number of the train.

If you choose to have your tickets delivered in Moscow, make sure that the letters they receive with your name can be given to you.

As a final note I must say that travelling 1st class to St.Petersburg on the Red Arrow (train 002) is very very very comfortable. You also have a 220volt socket you can use to plug in your laptop, apart from the movie playing and air conditioned rooms.
