Hi my name is Sérgio, im from Portugal and i need some information from anybody who can help me about temporary residence visa and temporary residence permit and residence permit. Anything about official information how to get it, what i need to do is welcome but im looking for someone who had the real expencience and can guide me through this. My situation is this, i met this Moscow russian girl in summer in Lisbon, she was in hollidays, , we fell in love and next she came back to Russia. We kept in touch through internet and i came to Moscow first time with a tourist visa for one month. I can give some information about russian embassy in Portugal – there is one agency very near embassy that will handle all your affairs about all kinds of visa ( except for temporary residence visa ) for a small fee. This will save you a lot of time, they can provide invitations for business and touriste visas but will be cheaper if you will get it somewhere else, since they charge a lot for shipping your invite in the mail – embassy requires original invitation for business visa. Back to my story, i stayed with her for one month..and she got pregnant in this time.. We’re very happy about it, and before this happened we already had thoughts about marrying. But now we find ourselfs in a difficult situation. I will meet her in one week, i asked for a 3 month single-entry bussness visa, and we will marry and i will be there for the birth of our son. Someone can tell me what to do ?
I will have russian wife and russian son, and we decided to live in Moscow. All i want is to be with them and that we will live together.
Thanks for this grate site, it has been a life saver.

Well, if you really want to live in Russia you're better off getting a private invitation from your girlfriend (future wife) and then applying for permanent residence. This is the only way, really. You can come to Russia on 3-month business visa to marry though, but keep in mind that when you apply you have to wait at least 40 days before marriage. Check out this article: http://waytorussia.net/Practicalities/Marriage.html
So, if you manage to gather all the papers and marry, I'd say she should directly apply for a private invitation after you marry (takes 1 month to process) you then leave the country and go to Finland or Estonia to get a new visa on this new private invitation, and come back to Russia with it. |

Thanks for the reply, very helpful,
about marriage, we've got all figured out, i got all my docs in Portugal, apostilled, translated with proof of russian embassy, once again with help of the article you indicated. We believe, for what my girlfriend told me, that we can make the marriage faster, since she is 7 months pregnant. Anyway we will have time for marry in 3 months, because i have all docs ready. I knew something about i needed private visa for this, but i have some doubts.. Its hard to get private visa? What docs do i need to ask for permanent residence? Can you explain me how is the actual process?
Can i go to Ovir with my future wife and explain our situation and expect a clean and easy answer? For what i know, i dont believe it..
Once again thanks for this site, i dont know what would be of us without it. |
