I am going to visit my fiance in Russia mid-October. We are weighing the question of private invitation vs. tourist or Business visa, as I need to stay for a little over 90 days. I would prefer to not put her through the trouble of applying for the Private invitation. Question: If I get a tourist visa, I know I can go to either Tallinn or Helsinki to renew, but, how many times? And on this same line,, since I am making all the travel arrangements myself, and staying with her, who can I get the invitation from and in a timely fashion so as to have it for visa application? Question 2 - If I go the Private Homestay Visa, route, when expiration is near, can I take that across the border and get another as well? How does that work, and how long does it take? What is required to go across to do this? Thanks again for all your help, it is greatly appreciated! Dee
