Hello,

I am confused about what type of visa I need.

I plan to be in Russia for 3 weeks only. During this time I plan on taking the transiberian train, and crossing the border to Mongolia.

Another option is instead of going to Mongolia, to spend 2 weeks travelling in Russia, then fly to Croatia for 1 week, and then back to Moscow for a couple of days before returning back home.

Will the double entry tourist visa work? I saw something on waytorussia.net website about double entry visa working only for CIS countries, but not Mongolia or China. Is that true? What about other non-CIS countries, such as Croatia?

I have no idea from which Russian consulate you are going to apply to. But try the london one.
