According to the internet you don't need an invitation if you're from certain places - EU, US, Oz etc. However, when I wen to the embassy they asked me for a htel reservation - ??? As I am climbing there I won't be needing a hotel for most of my trip, so I can't really do things the "proper" way.
Unfortunatly, it doesn't seem possbile to get these documents off the internet either, like you can for Russia, because apparently you don't need them. I've heard that the only option is to go to a travel agency and get them to sort it all ou for a price, but I'm trying to get around this myself.
This also wouldn't be a problem if you were applying in your home country - I think they only ask for reservations and all that if you are applying abroad (but god knows why'd they bother - its just more work fo them, right?). Would be great to hear from somebody who knows more about this... |
