90/180 Business questions.

I have a 90/180 rule business visa valid for one year. Although it is valid for one year does that automatically mean it’s a one year visa and not a six month visa? Therefore I have 90 day in the first six months and 90 days in the second six months?

When does the second six months begin, six months after the visa was issued or six months after the date of first entry? I guess from the issue date?

Plus how do you count the days? Is it 90 days spent in Russia including traveling days in and out of the country?

Every time I pass through Passport control in Moscow I try and ask how many days I have left. There is a number of Entry/Exit stamps so it’s obvious I leaving the country on a regular basis. Every time they said they don’t speak English, until yesterday. When I asked the question I think she was trying to tell me that it doesn’t matter. She was pointing to the fact I had a visa valid for a year. Has anyone else been informed of this, and should I risk staying more that 90 out of 180 days?
