hiyo,
does anyone know of any good record shops in moscow that specialize in electronic music (house, techno, dnb, etc etc)? I'd like to check out the scene while i'm in town, and i figure a shop like that would be a good place to find flyers and posters for underground music events.
thnks,

Ok, here you go:
Transilvania on Tverskaya street (don't remember the address, but if you walk from the Kremlin (metro Okhotny Ryad, beginning of Tverskaya) up to Pushkinskaya square, it will be BEFORE Stoleshnikov pereulok, but AFTER Kamergersky pereulok to your right. They have a logo which is a kind of bat with disks and you should go in an arch inside the courtyard and then to the left.
Also, Purple Legion (Purpurny Legion), metro Novokuznetskaya, a bit further along Novokuznetskaya street after Cafemax internet cafe.
Also, next to Kuznetsky Most metro, there's a lot of pirate disk shops, come out on the street, go through the arcs, and ask Teknopavilion (it's in a shoeshop basement).
Also, Gorbushka has a lot to offer (the biggest pirate CD market in Russia, disks go for $3), metro Bagrationovskaya (light blue line, west), outsite the exit a bit building behind (you'll see a lot of people going in to this direction).
Also, try different clubs listed in our Moscow Clubs sections, such as Propaganda, Territoria, etc. -- they will have flyers as well. |

Seems to be easier to buy those gadgets at official resellers. e.g. Re:Store. It should be safe also I suppose.
Re:Stores can be easily found in Atrium, Europeysky, GUM, Erevan Plaza, Megas, Vremena Goda etc. |
