Hi.. first of all.. great site. its really great to have a detailed and reliable source of information for people wanting to visit russia. I have a few questions which i cannot seem to get a clear cut answer by reading all the information here so here goes.

i plan to enter russia from helsinki, via train, and arrive at st petersburg. i will then check in at a hostel in st petersburg, and stay for 3 nights. After that, i will move on to Moscow, and check in at a hotel for 3 nights. After a week of russia, i plan to depart from moscow on train towards warsaw.

#1 If i order the visa support (tourist visa) from your site, would it include both tourist confirmation and tourist voucher?

#2 Must I produce train tickets of my departure from Moscow together with my visa if cops want to check? Or when I enter from Helsinki, do i need to produce tickets of my departure from Moscow? I may wish to stay longer if I like it there, but if I need to get the tickets before coming to Russia, then my time there won't be so flexible.

#3 Since my first point of arrival is NOT a hotel, but a hostel, that means I have to register at the travel agency's office at St. Petersburg right? (which is at Ligovsky Prospect?) And when I arrive at Moscow, I should re-register at the hotel?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Very Happy

1) Yes, the visa support ordered through this site includes BOTH tourist confirmation and tourist voucher.

2) No, tickets are not necessary. The cops can't ask you what you don't have. In fact, it's forbidden by law in Moscow to even stop a person on the street for a document check-up UNLESS a cop has serious suspicions that the person to be stopped is on the "wanted" list. Also, the cops don't have the right to take the passport from you, even to check it, they MUST always look at it from your hands. If you follow this simple rule (show everything from your own hands), the cops will know you know the rules, and will not want to get into trouble with you.

3) Try to make the hostel register you for free. If they don't want to do it, you can go to the office on Ligovsky prospekt (see http://waytorussia.net/Services/VisaSupport/Tourist.html -- click "Registration" link in the application form for the address) for $20 US.

I don't think that you're obliged to re-register in the hotel in Moscow, because the agency will most likely stamp your visa with registration for the whole period. If the hotel wants to register you, let them do it, otherwise, don't bother too much.
