Questions mainly for U.S. people.

I have an impression that some people very exited about Obama. What is special about him? What is he going to change?

I've recently seen a movie "I Owe USA". It looks depressing. Can you comment please?

That was an interesting movie. Thanks for the link.
I think we are very lucky to have Obama for he appears to really care about his approval rating, and doing a superb job. I would have voted for George Bush twice in the previous elections. In the end he was officially a disaster. I have never voted because I don't vote.
Obama will be able to live up the expectations but the economy is still going to be bad.
I don't really have worries here even with the $53,000,000,000,000 the US needs. This is a little inaccurate, and I am not an economist. First off the general definition of 'value of money' is not uniform over time.

Warren Buffet gave a great example explaining that he could pay lots of people lots of money everyday to paint his picture. He could do this theoretically but also that kind of a project would take away the workers in the economy that specialize as doctors, accountants, mechanics, etc.

Money is just a medium. Human hours of work available are the really important factor. How much is one person's ability to work worth to others? Even if America had lots of money in the year 2025 but 98% of the people are old are disabled--there would be no way to take care of them. America has built it's economy on unskilled workers that are specialized in areas of uselessness due to consumerism. In way, we are all painting each other's picture here doing worthless jobs (mine included) in occupations that should not have existed that "create NO long term real assets".

I put all my money in mining companies (before the crash and lost 90%). I still put my money in mines because I think everything in the future will be free. Automation competes with humans and efficiency will lower the cost of everything. That is one reason why Russia's economy is certain to get better in the future but it should be concerned about it's decreasing population and either promote it's population or rationally embrace immigration.

I hope I have not killed this thread with my crude sophist philosophy, and that Mr. Holmes will comment here with his eloquence.

I have to say that America has built the economy on the middle class workers and baby boomers. The middle class Americans are the ones who built America not unskilled, uneducated Americans who work in uselessness jobs. Facts! Confused
