Hi everyone. I'm visiting Moscow for a couple of weeks this September.

I'm very interested in seeing Red Square. And since Red Square has been used for many big outdoor concerts by world-famous artists, I started wondering about one thing.

Which outdoor stadiums in Moscow are used for large-scale concerts?

I think Madonna performed at Luzhniki Stadium a few years back. And I think Michael Jackson performed at Dinamo Stadium a long, long time ago.

I know that Moscow has Olimpiisky, but that's indoors.

Is Red Square still being used for concerts? How about Luzhniki Stadium and Dinamo Stadium? How about the smaller Lokomotiv Stadium?

Will the new Spartak Stadium be used as a concert venue?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, Luzhniki and Olimpiisky are the common ones. Not sure about Dinamo. I can't recall any major concerts in Red Square recently. About 2.5 years ago Eric Clapton was supposed to play there but the authorities withdrew the permit and the show was cancelled...

Do you think the new Spartak Stadium will be used for concerts?
