Hi all,

I'm just looking for advice on train booking. I've tried everything and realised that my cheapest option (Apart from waiting til we arrive) is to book through this website. Now I'm trying to figure out which to rent!

My intention is to depart on 26/7/8 of June toward Irkutsk. I would prefer to take the Rossiya (002) or Baikal (010). I know these are busy routes and chances are they'll be sold out on our arrival. There are three of us - looking to get 2nd Class Kupe.

When I search the trains on the 28th - there are a number of trains ( eg. 002M) that arrives after 2 days as opposed to 3 for the others - am I missing something here? Is this The Rossiya or something similar? Maybe I'm being Naive!

Also, don't Eastbounf Firmenny train sonly depart on Odd days? Again, I would love to be able to book while there (I've even translated the Russian Railways website in to English and I'm aware of the real prices!). My fear is that there wont be a train with a 2nd Kupe Class for three of us (With one for another randomer i guess). We're easy +- 2 days but would like to have a degree of certainty. We'll have three days in St Petersburg and two in Moscow before getting an eastbound to Irkutsk.

I appreciate your advice!

Michael
