Hello my wife is going to New York tomorrow mourning and i will be working. I have all my visa requirments sealed in a envelope. I was wondering If I my self have to be there to hand them my documents or can she give it to them for me. Im not sure what happens there. IF there is like some kind of mailbox for visa applications or if they have to physically meet with us and fill out some additional forms.

I always use to mail my visa papers to NY but since 2008 this is not a option no more.

Can someone tell me if they ever physically brought there papers to new york and had any problems?

no, I've had my passport brought to different consulates by different people, never any problem. Besides some companies are specialized in the service of bringing your passport to the consulate and sending it back to you.
