I've been thinking about traveling to the russian far east in 2 years but I'd like some tips and some good info.

I've heard Vladivostok is very polluted. is it really that bad?

I'd like to look at the Far eastern university, thier law course looks brilliant. for anyone whom has veer gotten some sort of degree, would it be best to undergrad, or go post grad?

Would it be modest in pricing? (in US terms) I'd like to check out Sapporo in japan too after staying in russia for a week and a half and would like to be able to gage pricing.

How much russian should I pick up in preperation? I already know a bit, it's very basic like ordering food and such. I can also read most cryllic. I want to learn more in a more serious learning enviornment myself, but would it be good to do it now instead of in college later?

I speak german better than my russian. this one I doubt, but would german be of any use there ?

What are the museums like if any?

if there are any memorials, what would be nice to see?

what resturaunts do you reccomend? I'm particularly picky but I hate most seafood except shellfish.

What areas in town should I avoid?
