Do you realize how grating on the nerves it would be to spend your life with someone who, politically, is a complete moron? If I had to go to bed every night with, or eat breakfast (I usually skip straight to lunch since I like to get up at noon ) with every day, someone who I had to listen defend Bush and his nonsense? I would blow my brains out within a month, likely.
The last girlfriend I had was a Bushevik, a rabid one, and if she kept her damn mouth shut about it she was tolerable, but eventually she'd open her yap about "How can I think it's OK for someone to have an abortion?" or "Oh, that Bush, he's such a good Christian." *reaches for wastebasket to vomit into*
Here's my only requirements - Attractive (to me, obviously), intelligent, sense of humor, not politically retarded (apolitical is fine), educated, interesting, passionate (no fun jumping in the sack with a mannequin ). And she must be able to put up with my drinking (I'm not violent or abusive, just a social drinker ), don't nag me about smoking (some day I'll quit) and isn't foul-mouthed and knows how to behave herself in front of important people / my parents.
Not such a stringent list of requirements now, is it? Somehow, save about two or three, every woman I've ever been romantically involved with has manage to screw something on that list up. |

Polska, I never had any doubts that you would.
Mediashark, I guess all I can say is, "Ouch!" But, with those "save two or three" I mentioned above, I admit that it was I who screwed up, not them. I'm a pretty good cook, though, but I can't iron.
Hell, I'm only 25, it's not like I'm looking to jump into anything all of a sudden. |

You can cook--which is all the more better for a bachealor's life! But hey, you've still got hope! Gals love a guy who can cook.
At 25-26, many Russians would consider that you should have been married already or get married now-now-now!
Anyway, hope you'll finally find your other half be it now or later. |

Not the U.S., that is for sure
I think the deal was - one apartment in Poland and one in Moscow...right?

What's wrong with the USA?! I wonder if the kids could anyhow get US citizenship since their mother is a citizen...they could be Russian-Polish American Canadians.
Vorteks, I think this could be a big step in diplomatic relations between our two countries. |

I don't want kids to be shunned so - the american As for everything else - it's cool. The only thing I use the Canadian for is visa-free travel to europe and North America so that one should be kept too. The others are a must though see how fair I am! Do you have polish citizenship though? Cause if you don't there isnt a way in hell that kids can get them Vic |

Yep I do It's awesome that now I can travel visa free across the entire European Union: England, France, Spain, Holland, all of it.
Vic, you haven't thought through the advantages of you and your children becoming American citizens. You could vote for the President and the entire representation of the city and the state of New York, that's one. You'd able to run for every political office but President and Vice President. Plus you'd have the right to an attorney, a trial and to not get deported if you commit a crime here |

Lol, if I commit a crime there, the first thing that I will want is to be deported ...not just to Russia for that matter, but to anywhere. The political office is tempting considering how much you can help out your business interests while in office, but I would have to pass on that one too, because when you crash from that high up, you burn.

The reverse is true too;if you are an American and get in trouble with the law abroad, like get caught vandalizing public property in Singapore or dealing crack in Mexico, you might get better treatment.Or at least become famous.
But I know, know you won't be able to resist voting for US President. And if that doesn't persuade you, it's easier to invest, bank and buy property in the US if you are a citizen . |

Well, I do have some investments (I told you bout them) and I use a Cayman Islands fund Thats even better! No taxes...not even on dividends. The only thing I cannot do is short sell (they are afraid that short sellers from abroad will crash the U.S. economy in such a way) but I wouldnt be able even if I was a U.S. citizen living abroad (you can only short-sell if you are a resident). And you can get busted for insider trading and things like that
Well, I wouldn't mind participating in the Polish election though...as in running for it

President Vic Viktorov of Poland. That has a nice ring to it!
I've decided that I want to be either the first foreign-born Mayor of Moscow, or become the first foreign-born Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. |

Hello, I'm new here. What a fantastic forum and thank you for allowing me to post here.
I would just like to say that I had the pleasure of seeing some of the Russian sailors just recently and I was so taken by their beauty that I decided to take Russian. Every moment spent in there presence was every moment I felt like a princess. I'm not sure if that was because they had been at sea for so long or if it was just in their nature. I am currently learning Russian and hope to visit either Russia or the Ukraine. I refuse to date anymore-American men and have been looking outside the USA for a relationship. There is a huge Russian/Ukraine community here in my state. I have learned so much already, but I would like to educate myself further so I am sure not to offend any of the Russian/Ukraine men with my American ways. No, I’m not going to change who I am but I do hope they are open to learning more about our ways because I would never ask them to change who they are. How do Russian/Ukraine men view American women and American's in general?
I'm excited that I found such a great site that will feed into my passion for Russian and Ukraine culture.
P.S. I know they are two different countries just like America and Canada are different.
