OK I know that rzd.ru is an utterly miserable failure of a website and I strongly believe that whoever is responsible for it should be sentenced to life emprisonment. But normally if I try different things several times I get some train schedule. This time nothing comes. Am I getting dumb ? I wouldn't like to go to the train kassa and queue there for nothing.
Anynody has an idea ? Golitsino (Голицыно) is about 50 km west of Moscow, and there is a station. The town is small but no so small they should just close the station! Maybe rzd.ru knows it under another name ? They only offer some "Golitsino", close enough but different... That wouldn't be the only absurdity on that horrible site.

Thanks a lot for any advice.

Yes, rzd.ru is a wretched website. But apart from being clumsy, it only shows timetables for "major" trains. None of the local electrichka services are included.

I just finished writing a post counselling despair (unless you have a friend living near the station), but tore it up and started over when I found this:

http://www.tutu.ru/station.php?nnst=2501

I don't know who the hell tutu.ru is, but they absolutely rule! This is fantastic. I think I will make this my browser default homepage. Unfortunately, their airline booking page requires that you have Russian documents (passport, etc.). But they give electrichka schedules (at least, for Moscow and Peterburg)!

Long range trains don't stop within first , say, 100-150 km from Moscow or until first locomotive switch.
Travelling from podolsk to south? No luck, go to Kurski station then back, or on commuter trains to serpukhov. The same is for Golitsino, the nearest stop to the west must be Gagarin (or Mozhaisk, 110 km).

Fantastic, thanks a lot for the answers. I agree, tutu.ru rocks.
I read somewhere that rzd.ru will be modernized by the end of the year, I can't wait!!!
No elektrichki schedule, this is crazy. If SNCF (the French Amtrack, with almost 5 times more passengers) didn't show the schedule of the short trains around Paris, that would lead to one more revolution !
