I leave the U.S October 26th for a two week vacation in UFA, Russia. I will be staying with a girl so I don't need any money for lodging. I was wondering how much money should I bring to have a hell of a vacation. I'm not familiar with prices in that part of the country, but heard it should be cheaper than Moscow or ST. Pete. Currently the exchange rate is about $1=30 rubles.

Boy, that's a tough question. Keep in mind that if you end up with this girl that she may expect you to spend however much you spend in this two week period for every two week period that you are together...!

Without considering lodging, I've done Moscow for less than $20/day - food, drink, museums, etc. It will be loads cheaper where you are.

It's really a personal thing, though. $20/day? $100/day? I could do both. You certainly don't have to spend what you bring.

UFA is over 700 miles east of Moscow and is a much smaller city. So I have no clue how estimate what costs will be. I want bring enough to make this a vacation to remember, as in going to the nicest restaurants UFA has to offer, and splurging in general. As mentioned before lodging for me will be free, as well as transportation. Anyone that wants to chime in, I would love to hear responses; particularly anyone familiar with that region.

I really only be on the ground for about ten days, because of flight and travel time.

In a big city you can survive on ~400 roubles (~13..15) a day.
1. 2kg of pelmeni : ~ 200 roubles
2. 1.5 litre of beer: ~ 150 roubles
3. 200 g of bread: ~ 10 roubles
4. Tea, sugar, salt, pepper etc: ~200 roubles a trip.
