But does anyone have first hand experience with Berdsk, Russia? It is a city just south of Novosibirsk and for the life of me I can not find very much on it. I have a relationship with a lady from Berdsk and would like to find out more about her city before making a trip out to visit. Thanks everyone! Shame on you, it's one of the easier languages for an English-speaking person to use. Less complex grammar than French, 99% of words are spelled phonetically. And, there are Internet sites to help you like http://translation1.paralink.com and http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Either of those can be used to translate the Berdsk website for you. The first link in the upper left hand corner takes you to a page which links to a series of articles on the history of Berdsk. The second link on the homepage takes you to a photo gallery. On the photo page, the word to the left of the two vertical bars means "previous" and to the right it means "next". Have fun! But don't forget to http://www.masterrussian.com so that you can communicate with your new in-laws.

It is not the nicest area of Novosibirsk proper, but it is not at all far from the main part of the city. It is not so much a city, more a suburb. Tom
