Hi guys!
Am planning a trip in late Jan, with stopovers at Irkutsk and Harbin. Seems possible but I can only find Irkutsk as a stopover point but not Harbin. In fact, very little info can be found on Harbin. So, a couple of questions :

1. Is Harbin stopover possible?
2. Is Irkutsk/Baikal area do-able or isit going to be darn freezing cold you can't do anything in Jan?
3. With these 4 points, Moscow,Irkutsk,Harbin,Beijing, isit better eastbound or westbound? For the matter, starting from the China side, can the method described in this site for doing the stopovers possible?

Hope to see some beautiful Siberian winter landscapes, as well as the ice festival in Harbin Smile

Thanks for any info!

regards
S.O. Wu
