Hello Everybody,
Next May I intend to travel by car to Russia. I want to enter in go to St Petersburg and then all the way to Murmansk.
I have some doubts especially concerning the weather that normally is in those regions and also concerning the hotels.
I will stay overnight in Petrozavodsk but then I want to make more 500 or 600km and stay overnight, but I can't find any hotel at for exemple Segheza.
Anybody can help on those subjects! |

yandex for 'гостиница сегежа' displays e.g. hotel <dot> segezha <dot> biz. Not the cheapest one, but it may be at least halfway decent then.

| I have also gone through but with another itinerary that is quite better than this one you are planning. That itinerary was suggested to me on a blog of Bangalore and you should also check it out. |

Thanks a lot for the information. I tried several times to get this type of info but got nothing . Writting it in cyrilic makes the difference.
One more question if you know the road: is it in good condition.
How many Km can you do per day |

Hi,
The condition of roads are quite good as they are newly made and you can easily drive more than 300 KM per day with breaks as well.

Looking to the map and the information received here, I will stay first in Petrozavodsk where it seems to be easy to find a good hotel and then in Kem or near by.
Do you have any recommendation for hotel in that area.
To make a booking on those hotels, is it needed to be very much in advance or can I do it one week in advance.
What is the recomendable way of making the bookings on those hotels? through a travel agency, directly with the hotel by email or other way.
