Hi everyone,

I'm trying to book two train tickets for July this year. One from Sergiev Posad to Rostov Veliki and one from Rostov Veliki back to Moscow. I can find all three destinations in the list on this website, but it seems there are no trains available for booking to and from Rostov. How come? I don't want to wait until I get to Russia to buy the tickets, since they might already be sold out then. Does someone have a solution?
Thanks,

Remski

Remski,

Have I got the website for you... if you can work with the Russian language:

http://www.tutu.ru/poezda/

The station you will want is Ростов-Ярославский.

I haven't yet used tutu, but it looks like an excellent site, and is the only resource I have yet found that includes local (electrichka) trains.

Romdur,

Thank you so much for your help! Although I can't read Russian, I'm able to understand the website by translating it. Through this site I think I should be able to buy the tickets, although I find it weird that at this moment you can already buy tickets for morning trains from Rostov to Moscow on March 15, but the afternoon trains are only bookable until March 14. Is it normal that the afternoon express train (departing 17.17 from Rostov) only comes available later?
And I also have question about ticket delivery (since I don't quite understand tutu's policy): can I order tickets with my own creditcard and have them delivered at a friend's appartment in Moscow? Or do you think it is better to buy electronic tickets (although it seems that I still need to get paper tickets at the station?!).

Thank again for your help, I really appreciate it!
