dermeow Just Starting Joined: 06 May 2010 Posts: 1	Posted: Thu May 06, 2010 2:06 am    Post subject: New York consulate - help Hi all, I applied for a visa through mail to the NY consulate about 2.5 weeks ago (the actual application landed there about 2 weeks ago). I paid extra for expedited processing (3 days). However, I have still not received my passport back with visa, and am getting nervous. Has anybody else applied through mail to the NY consulate? I am curious about their average processing times. Thanks!

If not ... I myself haven't attempted to use the mails, I always use a visa service company (it is my cautious nature, the company knows the ropes, and takes care of everything). Usually, people are not successful getting any response at all from consulates by telephone or email. Unfortunately, your best course of action will probably be a trip to New York City to visit the consulate in person. Please post back, about what happens!
