hi Steve
Zenit is a football club. if that's what you're after, Zenit plays at Petrovsky Stadium, metro Sportivnaya. there's six games left this season, 3 home and 3 away. Zenit is leading the premiership.
next home match is Oct 4, against Amkar. the one after is likely to be the golden game - Oct 25, against CSKA Moscow, currently number two in the standings.
then there's home match against FC Moskva on Nov 7.
Zenit's web site is http://fc-zenit.ru - the english version is not active yet.
tickets will be next to impossible to get at short notice, especially for the CSKA game. best places to look for them are Titanik record shops and theatre ticket booths around town.
if you really meant ice-hockey, then the St Petersburg team is SKA, or Army Sports Club. most home games are played at Ledovy Dvorets (Ice Palace), metro Prospekt Bolshevikov, in the south-eastern outskirts. get off the metro and you'll see it.
SKA's home page is www.ska.spb.ru - russian only.
cheers,
Peter |

found the club alright, its too small for the number of people in there... the music was perty good though. as for the ice hockey (which is what i meant), i found how to see what days the team is playing, but nowhere that says what time they play at. is it like in canada where night games always start at 19:30?

How do you purchase tickets to hockey games? Is there a box-office at the stadium, online, central office, etc?
Thanks! |

I checked the web site, there's no mention of tickets there. I suppose you just buy them at the stadium, shouldn't be a problem.
Next game is Nov 17, at 19:00, at Ice Palace. SKA St Petersburg vs Dinamo Moscow. |
