zinku120 Frequent Guest Joined: 14 Apr 2004 Posts: 22 Location: France	Posted: Mon Oct 04, 2004 4:43 pm    Post subject: i was in both the cities in the summer of 2002. have been to moscow a few more times since then (used as a transit on the way to izhevsk). i've seen that people are very polarised as to their preferences among the two. the russians that i met were all st. peters fan. and i belong to that group too. moscow probably has better career opportunities and more money. but the life there is too rushed. much like NYC, london, tokyo or bombay. i prefer the laid-back culture of paris, amsterdam, barcelona or bangalore type more and st. peters is more like it. for visit - probably it's a 50-50 tie. st. peters in summer is absolutely beautiful. don't know what it's like in winter. moscow has lots of sights - but not much chance of interaction with people unless you know someone in there.
