|
What is the status of Internet Cafes in Russia...? Do these cafes usually have more than one computer for patrons to use...? What is the charge for patrons to use the computer in these Internet Cafes...? Do just the "popular" cities of tourists destinations in Russia have Internet Cafes or are these cafes located thourghout Russia...?
Also, what are the popular Internet service providers in Russia (e.g. pochta.ws; mail.ru; etc.)...?
Thank you...! |

I would say that all the larger cities have internet cafes with more than one computer. But when I was in a smaller town there was only one place to use the internet in town, it was located at the post office and only had one computer.
I don't know the answer to your other questions, sorry.

Ah, but "Uday", it is so nice being "naive"... It brings out the "intelligence" of your responses to what questions are posted... Now I can understand why you use the avatar you do... Thanks for your response - it's nice to know Russia has "...more than one computer..." |

There are a few internet cafes in every major city, in smaller towns you can always find at least one internet cafe. In very small towns there will be something like a "computer class" for students (in a local university) or schoolchildren, where they play games, but there is also often internet access provided.
Also, some post offices provide internet access, but not many of them.
The charge is usually $1-$2 per hour.
The most popular mail providers are http://mail.ru http://rambler.ru http://inbox.ru http://nm.ru http://bk.ru |
