Hi, I have just booked homestay accomodation in Moscow, for about 5 nights. Travel agents here in Australia tell me that I cannot stay in private apartments on a Homestay visa. Is this true? What other visa should I use to stay in private apartments? Thanks for any advice in advance! Cheers David.

waytorussia Frequent Guest Joined: 17 Mar 2010 Posts: 14	Posted: Sun Oct 10, 2004 7:31 pm    Post subject: You can either get your host make an private invitation for you, but it's going to take something like 1.5 months and your visa is only 3-month long, single entry. Or you can apply for a tourist visa support, get it in 1 day, and then get a tourist visa (maximum validity 1 month, single or double entry). If you want to stay longer, you can get a business visa. It can be valid for up to 12 months and multiple entry. Oh yes, and it's better to apply in Canberra, as the consulate in Sydney likes to make problems.
