I read on this website that people had no problems geting their visa in Shanghai ... however that was back in June .. I know things change. I have all the documents I need invites, voucher etc but they are COPIES ... I phoned the Shanghai consulate today and they said they needed the originals ... the post on this site from back in June said copies were fine. Does anyone have any recent expereince of the Shanghai consulate? Im being advised to go back to Hong Kong to apply but I cant really afford it especially if Im going to be declined because I have copies and not originals... Any advice?! Thanks... Cat

If they refuse, you can always get originals sent to you by express post, it will be $50 or something like that, but then you will be sure you will have your visa.
