http://www.mosnews.com/feature/2004/11/25/abortion.shtml

So, now, Russian women are known as being scam artists, golddiggers and now whores.

I am not religious and I am to the left politically, if you contrast my views with North American religious right-wing values. I believe in a woman's right to choose but this is just insane!

How come Putin still has a high approval rating? This is a crisis and it appears it's not being addressed at all! IF the abortion rate is so high and there's a problem of so many orphans, how come Pukin the hypocritical scumbag has any approval rating at all?!? IT should be ZERO!

Anyway, here's some statistics regarding Russia's corruption

It seems that Russians only find disapproval or criticism in times of a great tragedy or international crisis. But, with problems at home, they are apathetic and/or tolerant. It must be because it is like any other democracy (for Russia, I would say so-called or alleged democracy) in that people doubt whether any real change will happen. Thus, the populace is apathetic or very tolerant when it comes to a corrupt and inept government. But, still, I would rather keep changing the political landscape than settle with what I KNOW is garbage. But, that's just me.

Russians can comment on it and explain it better than I can, surely. I'm just going by what limited or restricted information I have at my fingertips - mainly info from the internet.

I suggest that the Russian government is desperately holding onto the "old way." That's why you read about Russia reverting back to their authoritarian ways. That's why you have a President Pukin <sic> talking about fighting corruption while in bed with it or turning a blind eye. In doing all this, the President and the rest of the government is neglecting other major problems in Russia. I'm sorry, but I must reiterate: until Russians decide to punish these unethical people who consider other ordinary Russians as lapdogs, there will be no changes for the better. It would be ideal if some upstanding individuals could enter the political arena but usually, power (and money) breeds corruption. But, I suggest people should always punish these politicians regardless by voting them out of power. If another corrupt government takes over, you vote their asses out as well. What else can one do? I don't suggest there are better or different candidates but I would want the incumbent out regardless.
