C'mon, guys. Mark is a intelligent man and brings a lot of interesting informations. As Alice, it's hard to me also to understand international politics. But I try to follow. With no passion.
No one should be ban if the rules are respected. And Mark showed he is doing the right thing. |

We do discuss politics among us alot but do not like to do that with foreigners becase we have had very different histories and our historical experience is different from Western Europenian. Your point is Democracy is the main value. If it would be so for Russians we would disappear many ceturies ago. We would be either asian or western. Not Russians. But most of us wants to be Russians even if we have to sacrifice our freedom for that inside OUR country. And those Eastern Ukrainians consider themselves Russians and want to be Russians. Westerners prefer to sacrifice their nationalities for freedom. In this case any discussian on politics is just waisting of time. |

Wrong. Different points of view make for a better political discussion. Isn't that the point here? Personally, I sought out this board because I wanted some non American-textbook-taught perspective on history and current events. I'm curious to know what underlies the mentality of security over freedom that you say prevails in Russia.
Don't ban Mark. That's ridiculous! Yes, Mark, you should be more concise with your posts (like exerpting quick quotes from linked articles). But I've found you to be one of the more interesting voices recently. (I just hope your ideas are your own).
