Hey I'm a laid back Ozzy first time to Russia. I may bring a snowboard not really sure what else to do. I'm open to anything. Who wants to team up in Moscow and we can take it from there. This is not a personal so guy or gal, local or fellow tourist or even a stray dog are welcome. Surprised I have a feeling I may exit the plane and think what the F@#k am I doing here in January so if you are cool, not a perv, scammer and want to help. I will be stoked.

A snowboard!? You must be talking about Almaty in Kazakhstan, not Moscow. You need mountains to snowboard.

Do you understand what -20 degrees Celsius means? That's what you will find in Moscow in January according to http://month.gismeteo.ru/forecast.php?town=27612&index=27612

I think you should plan to spend a lot of time clubbing to reduce the risk of frostbite. If you stumble home at 8 am in a drunken stupor, there will be lots of people on the streets to rescue you. But if you do the same thing at 2 am, then you will die. That's what -20 means.

If there's not too much wind, and you dress warm I think it's possible to snowboard at -20 degrees.
I've tried snowboarding a few times..here in Canada.. and have always finished soaked with sweat...(when I skii it's not like that but I find skiing much easier) . Anyway maybe it wasn't -20 outside but it was at least -10.

I don't know about places to skii in Moscow but hopefully someone who lives there will reply.

Back to alcohol and clubbing Eh!!!!

Sorry Dmitri, I forced Wasted through mind telepathy to write this.

I heard there is bunny hill stuff around Moscow, but it is pain to get out. Wasted lives in British Columbia and minus -20 C is cold for him. Which is funny, because of his story walking nakkid outside. -20 is cold if you are nakkid and frockling with your girlfriend in the snow. Frostbite can limit your frockling.

If you are active then minus 20 is not too bad and dress in layers
If you know Russian, there is a forum here that you could post to meet a ski bum friend. Bum as meaning someone that likes to ski quite a bit, fleshy part of a buttock aka also known as the rump, because if people think that I was talking about buttock and post messages about buttocks and then it will be "you destroyed my skiing thread with big buttocks" .
