As someone said to me in a subject here, I don't know nothing about... nothing. Smile
More clearly, I said that life in Russia is better than before, and I guess it will continue ( I hope). I think I commited a crime saying that, so... ok.
As I don't want to be stupid all my life, I ask to everybody - I mean Russian people, not american reading articles or french people thinking and thinking Smile - what they think about all that, and giving examples.
Furthermore, I know Russian people living in Russia, and living in France too, for studies, and, well, things are better in Russia for them. They don't say that's the most free country in the world (but which country could pretend that?), but just that life is better than before.
Before? when there was Eltsine, or Gorbatchev.

If all the Russians here prove me that life is not really better, so ok, I will be confused.

I just refered to a post from Mogsfan. I said that life's better in Russia, and he said that's false.

Thank you for your answer Smile

Yes, it's definitely better, but old people might not think so.

Thanks. I know old people in Russia (and young too of course Smile), and they're really glad about the life in Russia now. And, to be more precize, I should say that for me it's really interesting to get their opinion about politic in Russia. because before, I believed that nobody couldn't say nothing in your country, and ashamed about Putin. But that's not so simple: they like what does that man, even if he's a bit complicated.

Here, in France, he's shown like a kind of tsar. But I guess that's not so simple.
And, as I say always, who we are here to judge your politics, because ours are definitely not good here

Ok. But do you think that the present politics could let you change those bad things? And... which are those things?

he-he Smile don't be silly... I appreciate your optimism but you're not right

2andre

There are lots of bad things which are still need to be solved...
first is a corruption. Now it's MUCH lover then ~10 years ago (10 years ago was a real bad time Smile ), but it still exist. I like that our government admit that problem but it's not enough unfortunately. For example: it's not a problem to give a bribe to a road policeman Wink
Second - our economy is specialised on the export of the oil and on the export of the weapons especially new military planes and anti-aircraft defence "devices" (it's dificult to describe not knowing military terminology). But still we need to develop our production... Do you know for example what is russian car like? - it's a real crap, to tell the truth Smile That's way vast majority of russians prefer to buy foreign cars.
So and finally russian people should make their attitude to the country better cause I know that many people just don't care of the place/country where they live in Smile
That's my view of problem but still live becomes better, I can't deny this.

freedom is questionable.
you are not free when you live in a society. because every society have rules, and rules mean being not free.
but comparing to USSR, nowadays people have much more freedom

president is good comparing to the previous one. i wouldnt exclude that there might be someone better Smile

prices depend on the area..

internet is an achievement of time, political regimes have nothing to do with it.

etc etc Wink

I think that 90% of Russion people are pessimist, and you telling about bad things. Let's tell about good things, because there are many things better than in USA for example.
ok, you're right about corruption. But our economy is growing up!!!! You know that growing our economy one of the fastest. There is 2nd (maybe 3rd) place after China, yes, now it's oil and army, but we growing!!
Ok. About cars, you're wrong. Let's see to new LADA car "Kalinka" (or something =)), our VOLGA, do you know that our VOLGA going for export!! And our UAZ (Now, it has new model), and it's begining only!!

2 to Alice we have more freedom than in USA!!

We're the best yo!!!

Let's enjoy living in our country, best country

2RussianBoy

yeah, i am pessimist about some things but the situation worth such pessimism so i am realist Smile
I know what thing is obviously better than in the U.S. - it's a president and an education...
Our economy growth is followed by a high prices on oil - so it's not very significant growth.
I almost sure that your family has a foreign car, so don't tell us such ridiculous things Wink
Our army is not effective... but it's still dangerous. =)

The situation is not very good but it's becoming better as I've already said....
