Is it still true that some hotels would not register the Business Visa for more than two days? As mentioned on your web-site.

(1) I am going to stay at Izmallova Gamma-Delta hotel in Moscow for a total of 12 days during March 2005. I have just now applied January 18, 2005 for Business Visa Invitation through your site. Under my then first time and newly-acuired 12 months Multiple-Entry Business Visa, would you know, if I would run into problem with the hotel, and would have to go to the Business Invitation issuing office for help, which would cost me an additionl $50, lost time and frustration. This $50 would be paid for every single entry for the 12 months period of the Business Visa.

(2) Since I would have no business to deal with in Russia except the Business Visa, what do I say to any authorities, who may be police, custom, immigration, hotel etc.. what business activity am I in Russia for? What business contact name and address do I provide them, if asked for? Or, do I tell them the truth that I am actually a tourist, but I have a Business Visa for the purpose of multiple entries to visit my girl friend?

(3) Since my actual arrival to Moscow is 11 days later than the Business Visa application begin-date (I was told to change the date to an earlier date, if I wanted to get my Invitation letter moving without being put on hold for few days, due to the 45 days OVIR waiting period), adhering to the sugestion on your web-site, I would put my arrival-date on the Visa Application, to be sent to Russian Embassy in USA, exactly the same as on the invitation Letter, which I would receive by February 20, 2005. Problem is the ticket and itinerary will show 11 days later date, a conflict on the Business Visa application and the ticket date. Is that a potential for Visa delay or refusal, since I already bought a bargain non-refundable ticket earlier and have placed request for the above mentioned hotel's reservation before all are fully booked. Any suggestion for this mismatch of ticket date and arrival date on Visa Application .

(4) Under tourist visa in December 2004, I had two Visa Registration stamps from the same hotel for two different but contineous stays, without any registration gap. Would the same rule apply for the Business visa registration.

Thank you for the answers. I have been using services through your website since March, 2004 and I am very pleased with all of them and the advise from your site when I have posted the questions.

1. You have to register your visa within three days of entering a new city. Hotels will register your visa and stamp the migration card that you get on the plane. As long as you have a stamp on your visa, you have registered. If the passport control complains when you leave the country just keep repeating "I went to Moscow, I stayed in the hotel, they stamped my migration card, why is this a problem". Most of the time they don't check the dates of registration if you have a business visa.

2. You are in Russia investigating business opportunities and making contact with local business partners. Check out some of the real estate development opportunities in Moscow. Take some photos and notes for your travel magazine articles. Be creative. You need to be creative to succeed in business.

3. No problem. As long as you enter after the start of your visa and you exit before the end of your visa, you are legal. They never looked at any of my tickets when I entered Russia on two trips.

4. Forget about the past. You now have a business visa and you are researching business opportunities in Russia.
