ksubrama Just Starting Joined: 10 Feb 2005 Posts: 1	Posted: Thu Feb 10, 2005 11:11 pm    Post subject: Registration and dependency on Visa Hi, I am an Indian Citizen, who resides in the United States with a Greencard. I made a trip to Moscow on business in Nov 2004 on a double entry business visa. While at moscow, the hotel did the registration for me. I was there in Moscow for a few days and upon leaving the country, the immigration officer at SVO took the migration card (which had the registration information). Now I am in the process of getting a multiple entry business visa for Russia, but the company handling the paper work is claiming that in order to proceed, the the foreign ministry requires me to show a copy of the registration before they can issue an letter of invitation. I have provided them with the registration number (the hotel provided this information to me), but they still insist that they need to see a copy of the registration. Does this sound right? I mean, I cant produce a document that was taken from me by the authorities when I left russia. Can someone shed some light? Thanks -K
