Last year November Russian President Mr.Vladmir Vladimirovich PUTIN visited India and signed some diplomatic and security documents.

My inquiry is about the products made by Russia. In our place people youd to be proud od owning Russian made binoculars ,cameras and other professional products. But after the fall of the empire we all lost the access to those products. Now , after the resurrection ,why Russians are not exporting products such as meters ,lab equipments.WHY?

Russia has got the brain and the resource. We hoped all those products will be available after President's visit. The camera Zenit even though cheap gives good image. And the binoculars too very tough kind.Yes, it's a fact that they lacks finish nad sleek in comparison with the contemperory products. But we like it.

About automobiles why they dont try to have a tie-up so as to improve the styling and mechanics.I feel it is a major requirement .Russians have to develope and should raise their head like the officers during the communist era in ZIL cars.I like it's style. There is a mystey in that car.Perhaps it's made by Russians.

About motors too why Russia dont like to have industrial venture to improve the money as well as to improve the relationships.

Well,I am stopping here .Write more matter soon.Thank you

When I was at school pre-peristroika, in western Europe, we learned about the huge Russian wheat plains and the fact that it ranked as one of the worlds biggest farming enterprises... the wheat-basin of Europe... Smile

Twenty-five years later, peering from the windows of many long distance trains which I used to travel across Russia... do you know, it seemed strange to notice the total absense of agricultural crops and even cows and sheep for that matter Shocked

Since communism the Russian farmer and businessman has seen the ruble devalued on a shock overnight basis (decapitated would be a better word...) and inflation rise as fast as wages.... and now, instead of answering to some communist party official, if he makes money in business he has the nouveau intensively capitalist Russian mafia to contend with... Sad

So who wants to do business in Russia? Very few people. The Militia are well inside the Mafiosas pocket, the true Russian Oligarchs are being persecuted by the Government (or have already fled the FSU for good...) and everyone has a deep rooted suspicion of businessmen nowadays Crying or Very sad

My other half always laments these same facts and asks me "will Russian ever change?" and I tell her that the answer is yes... but that the solution will take at least several centuries to arrive Twisted Evil

Anyway, why does India need Russian Imports?!? I thought you guys were now technolocically enabled enough to manage with your own resources and imports from China and the West?!?

PS: Automobile partnerships DO exist!!! Look at the latest Lada Niva 4x4 offering, complete with Chevrolet styling and improvements... Smile
