About four of us want to take the Trans-Siberian trains from Beijing to Moscow this coming summer and to stop for a night or two at Ulan Bator, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, and Vladimir (Suzdal). We have a specific schedule in mind, with specific trains, dates, and times identified. We understand that seven separate tickets (per passenger) are needed to accomplish this.

I made an inquiry to trainline.ru about this and they said they don't provide any stopovers. However, your website shows four stopovers, which is good, but we would prefer six, as mentioned above.

We would like to obtain the tickets needed in advance to ensure that there is room for all of us on each train. We need to do this soon rather than waiting to be within the 45 day window.

Would you please advise as to how we should proceed to obtain the seven separate tickets needed to accomplish this trip?

Who should we contact, how should we contact them, and how soon can we do this?

We are excited about this experience and appreciate your input in getting past the logistical hurdles. Bolshoye Cpaceebo for your assistance, -Eric Timmreck

I don't think it's possible more 45 days before the train. Anyway, that's not worthwhile - imho

I have bought tickets for long distance trains in Russia as little as 3 days before travel and there was plenty of room. Once I bought a ticket on the Moscow to Almaty line 20 minutes in advance.

It's not such a big deal to wait. In any case, you can't plan specific trains and times because you need to do that with the summer schedule which has more trains than the winter schedule. If I were you I would only buy the Beijing to Ulan Bator and the Ulan Bator to Irkutsk tickets in advance and buy all the rest of the tickets when you get to Irkutsk. You will probably be spending several days in Irkutsk and area anyway so just buy the tickets at the station right after you arrive.
