While International Women's Day has come and gone, (March8), I am curious if any of you were givers or receivers of special treatment, gifts etc. It is a nice tradition I think. In US we don't recognize or celebrate this day. There's mothers day and fathers day but nothing for women or men in general.

Why of course we have it in the U.S., it's called Valentine's Day and serves the same function.And men's day in general is 364 days of the year. Razz

Valentine's Day is similar but it is not devoted to women exclusively. I am glad your dad carries on traditions. That's sweet.

I am pretty sure that you received some nice tokens of appreciation on women's day and valentine's day. If the guys on WTR are indicative of guys in Moscow, and I'm sure they are, then you honey should score big time! Smile

My wife got the single red rose (with trimmings) and a little vodichka with dinner (we normally only do this on friday's). Luckily, Valentines day is our anniversary as well!! She's going to get a little something for Men's day for me....
