I have a Russian visa valid for 30 days, but I plan to spend about two and a half months in Russia. I applied for a 30 day visa with the intention of leaving for a Baltic state to apply for another visa once it's due to expire. Now, will I have a problem when I arrive with the authorities if they see that I have a 30 day visa but my return flight is 2 and a half months from my arrival date? Do they even care?

Thanks!

Ay

Try contacting your Russian embassy and they can help you and maybe re-issue you a new visa. Or get a new visa for the date you are re-entering Russia from the Baltic states.

A tourist visa is only good for 30 days, why not consider a double entry business visa. Have a look at the visa information posted on waytorussia.net and you will find more information about visas. I have never had to show tickets

Hello everyone!
I want to stay in the US and get a greencard somehow.
It's my 3-rd time in the US. 1-st one I spent in
2003 25 May - 1 October, 2-nd time was in 2004 25 May - 1
Octobet. Both times it was J-1 visa (working visa).
Now is my 3-rd time. I have a J-1 trainee visa, which
expires September 1, 2006. It's kind of visa when I have to
find an employer who is interested in me as in a
professional worker. One of the US companies became
interested
in me and hired for the period of 18 months. I'm
studying management at the Institute in Russia. In order to
that type of visa that I have - I was supposed to get a job,
that is to the subject I study at the Institute. So, I'm a
manager here. All I want to know is how do I get a
greencard,
where should I aply, whome should I contact, who can help
me,
how does my comany help me, where should I call, what's the
best
way for me to get a greencard? Thank you for the help in
advance.
Sincerelly, Liubov
P.S. lease, if anyone has any info, e-mail it to me on: bulkam@mail.ru

It's hard to tell from your post, bur you're in Baltimore now? Green cards are issued by the INS, Immigration and Naturalization Service, possibly the most inpenetrable bureaucracy in America. Good luck. Confused

I think you should contact one of the immigration attorneys or someone experienced in immigration matters. You can find someone like this in any Russian Newspaper (there are lots of people doing immigration). I know one guy who has an immigration office in Brooklyn and has been involved in immigration matters for many years. You can write him an email with details and he will tell you whether he can help you and how much it would cost.

Email: val_gabriel@hotmail.com

He speaks Russian, of course. I am not making any money off that, I am just giving you the only person I know who is doing immigration professionally and has experience doing it.

Obviously, any help will cost you money. But it's probably worth it. I don't think it makes sense for you to do it by yourself - immigration rules are very complex and you really need professional help with this.
