I was sooo happy to lo in this morning and see that Mountain girl and Vital Signs came back, a t least for now! Welcome back guys. I aree that there is a lot more to talk about than bars, women and prejudices. Well bars and women, I can handle but prejudices NO.
So I make a motion, ( too much lawyer talk in my house), that some of us make more effort to start new topics and hopefully others will be more respectful in terms of keeping topics more focused. We can be our own moderators is what I am saying. I am in an optimistic mood! I have spring fever... though april showers are now here! |

Vitalsigns,
Of course you were missed! There are others missed as well. Usual Suspect, Dennis, Randy, Anathema and more. You know who you are!
I prefer the 2nd logo however what is so bad about the cuRrent WTR logo? All are fine really. Did you create the original logo for WTR? |

Thanks for the warm welcome Cyndy!
Okay, here is an idea, tell me what you think guys....I would like to see a "Russian Language Only" forum on this site. I think it would be a great way for those who are learning Russian to practice and talk with those who area native to it. Just an idea.

Mountaingirl,
I think your idea is very good and would certainly be a great resource and tool for those of us who are trying to learn Russian. There however are some logistical problems that we would need to work on from the get go. For example, recently I enabled my computer to read and write in cyrillic. While I thought that was sufficient for me communicating in Russian with others, I discovered today that there were problems. For example, last week I tried to send a short email msg. in Russian to some friends, and learned today that my msg. came across as gibbirish. Since I operate my pc out of windows, all I did was enable my computer to apply Russian language for keyboard and reading, however apparently after I sent my email which was correct in Cyrillic, there were coding errors. I do not know how to solve this problem. So as much as I would love to practice my Russian language skills with others here as well as others elsewhere, I am afraid that I need logistical help in order to do this. Perhaps others can advise myself and others? |
