Just want to hear your opinions.
As most of you know, after 1992 we had a national anthem without any words, just music. Nobody could get the right words for it despite numberous contests. After Putin was elected, he signed a law making the National Anthem pretty much the old Soviet one (The music was the same, but 80% of the words are different - and the new words are written by S. Mikhalkov - the same person that wrote the Soviet one 50 years ago!)
Well, vote away!

well.. what can be said about it. it was one of the better national anthems and i'm glad they changed it back. a bit bombastic, but therefore the better.
it's a good tune, easily recognizable and powerful. not as beautiful maybe as germany's, but it easily survives the competition with the french anthem.
usa has an ok one too: but they better stop singing it all the time. just like with dollars, there's inflation in music as well...

The Soviet anthem is pretty famous, by the way westerners were considering soviet union and russia was the same. General de Gaulle for instance never used the term USSR, he always used "Russia".
It is not very surprising Putin decided to keep the soviet anthem (at least the melody). As for the lyrics, I guess words should have been changed (by S. Mikhalkov or somebody else it is not important).
