May 9th holiday is over. Many of the travelers have enjoyed celebrations and parades in many different Russian cities. To those taking the Trans-Siberian Railway in June thought might be of interest to learn about parade and carnival in the midway Trans-Siberian stop, which is Krasnoyarsk.

According to a regulation signed by Peter Pimashkov, the city head, the City Day will be held on June, 4. As a KNews correspondent has been informed in the press service of the city administration on May, 11, the staff of the organizational committee on preparation and holding of the celebration, chaired by the mayor, has already been approved.
There will be a carnival procession held in the city on this day, a number of events held in districts, municipal establishments, enterprises, dwelling complexes, micro-districts, and yards. There will be exhibitions of achievements and projects of municipal establishments of social sphere, public organizations and associations of the city, goods and services of Krasnoyarsk enterprises and organizations presented to the citizens' attention.
The city head and the deputies of the City Council will hold a number of meetings with the citizens in the framework of the celebration. According to the plan, there will be a ceremony of conferring of the title 'Honored citizen of Krasnoyarsk', award of the order 'For services to Krasnoyarsk City' held on this day. The grounds 'Krasnoyarsk ' city of health' with organization of sport events, 'City of public initiatives and youth cultural actions: partnership and agreement' will be working in the city, there will be Krasnoyarsk flag and signal-gun at Karaulnaya Gora ceremonies held.
It has been announced in the press service of the city administration that the building of the square in front of the railway station will be completed by the City Day in Krasnoyarsk, it is planned to open a fountain near Chekhov Monument at Krasnoyarsk 350th Anniversary Square on June, 4. There will be a few figures of vertical green building installed in different districts of the city. |
