I just saw it over here.OMG, the acting and the dialouge make it almost a comedy. The theater was shaking with laughter whenever Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen were together on the screen. Ahh, George Lucas trying to write a love scene .
This is Anakin to Padme: You are...so beautiful.
Mrs.Skywalker to Mr.Skywalker:It's only because I'm in love with you
Mr.Skywalker, with a confused expression on his face :No...it's because I'm in love with you.

If you're in Moscow, I think there are only two English language theatres in town (as far as I know). That's the American Theatre at the Radisson and the Dome Theatre at the Renaissance Hotel. As of this weekend, the Dome wasn't showing it. I think the Radisson is your best bet.
It's actually not too bad. If you want to go with a Russian friend, they provide simultaneous translation through headphones. They've got popcorn, candy and drinks, and decent sound. |

Saw the film the otehr day at the Radisson.
I must say the Radisson is the worse cinema iv'e ever been too.
Sound kept on cutting out,it was stuck in Russian for 10 mins and the AC needs sorting out in their,i think it was the AC cos some funny noise was virbrating the place out...
By the way the film was great but it would of been awsome if not for the sound..
Also to all Russians who go to the pics, it's polite to turn off your bloody phones |

Hmm. I went too and saw it there, and kinda enjoyed it. Sound was fine, no ringing phones, and no problems with temperature. Maybe it depends on which night you go, or something. Or maybe I just have lower standards
Anyway, I'm sure Dome Theatre will also be showing it soon.
And, for the record, I enjoyed the film as well. I thought it tied things up nicely. Nice special effects, good plot line, and suspense (despite knowing what's gonna happen). Aside from the dialogue, I was quite pleased.

When has the acting in Star Wars ever been good? I once read somewhere, in fact, that Lucas doesn't like good acting in SW, since it detracts from the campy Saturday matinee feel he's emulating. Makes one wonder why he'd bother recruiting good actors like Sir Alec Guinness and James Earl Jones... |

Guiness was suppossedly so dismayed at being in "Star Wars" that he convinced George Lucas to kill Obi Wan Kenobi. And he was so ashamed of the movie, he threw out all Star Wars fan mail he got without opening it.
OK, so you don't see the movies to see great performances but I really think a little bit more feeling, passion and conviction from the actors wouldn't hurt.Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman are walking automatons in this movie and Samuel L.Jackson, come on, this guy was in Pulp Fiction and here he's so bland and colorless. What a waste of a great actor.Thankfully, his character dies early on so we don't have to watch much of that mess.
OK, but despite all that I liked the movie. You can see and point out the flaws in SW ROTS but the movie has that rare magic a thousand action movies and Saturday Matinees couldn't capture. |

The worst thing is that it leaked out onto the Internet 2 hours after the movie premiered .No actually the worst thing is that some Star Wars uber-fans quit their jobs to camp out in front of the Ziegfield for a week for tickets. |

Hated 1st Star Wars. I just may be one ofvery few to say that. But I never even like the Star Trek episodes, though Dr. Spock was so coool. And Captain was rather sexy. They had a showing at midnight the other night of the new Star Wars movie. I heard a few people dressed up in full Star Wars attire. That's dedication for ya. |

What's " I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth " in bad Russian translation? |

| The movie wasn't great, but since Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw, and my generation grew up on it in the US, it was definitely cool for me to see Darth Vader take his first ragged breath. |
