Hello everybody from Holland,

And what do you think about all these other very good russian artists and bands, of who almost nobody knows here in the west, like B-2, Zemfira, Mummy Troll, VV (Ukrainian), Valerie Meladze, Spleen, Valeria, Tanze Minus, Ariya, Kor i shut, Kino, Agata Kristy, Tzich & Co (i hope i wrote everything well).

Tty to search for these artists, and you will be amazed, how rich russian music is.
Compared by those artists, Russlana and Tatu (only a hype from producer Trevor Horn, known from Frankie goes to Hollywood) are than only shadows of real russian pop music.

My favourite western music....Symphony X, Anathema, Rhapsody, Therion, Nightwish, Lana Lane, Dream Theater, Within Temptation, but also everythimng ranging from ABBA, Fleetwood Mac to Yes.

B-2 - I like couple of their songs but actually I don't listen to them

Zemfira - her early albums are great but I didn't like the last one... Only one track in her last album, "Dai mne ruku", was quite nice - Led Zeppelin style Wink

Mummy Troll - quite peculiar band but they have some nice songs. And in nearly 2001 they participated in Eurovision Smile

VV - never heard about them... can you tell some information? Smile

Meladze is a pop-music guy, never liked him

Spleen - decent folk-rock band. I've been on their concert - that was marvelous.

Valeria - no comments... her music is 'not very good' Smile

Tanzy Minus - quite nice sound but I don't like their frontman's voice

Ariya - noisy ones... classic rock style. But I don't like them however many people listen to Ariya.

Korol i shut - they early albums were nice (but not cool, unfortunately), but not modern ones.

Kino - classic of russian rock. Great band with great texts nevertheless their music is quite simple and frontman's voice is not very rich Smile.

Agata Christy is also classics of russian psychodelic rock music. Their texts are great but music sometimes is too gloomy.

Chizh & Co. - very good band with some wonderful blueses Smile

Can I give my true opinion about Ruslana's Eurovision performance?

Did anyone ever see the film This is Spinal Tap? Laughing Do you remember the Stonehenge concert? ("In ancient times, hundreds of years before the dawn of history, an ancient race of people... the Druids. No one knows who they were or what they were doing..." ?) That's what Ruslana's concert reminded me of. Laughing

Indeed, i think you're right Jutrzenkapolska.
I don't even think, that Ruslana knows who the Druids were (they only lived in the old Ireland and some parts of England) I am almost absolutely sure, there were no Druids in the Ukraine.
