We will most likely move them to Not Relevant or a new folder. However all posts must comply with current and new rules (if we are to write more).

Deleting stuff isn't censorship as they can post this stuff elsewhere. The people who want the posts to stay for entertainment just have a lazy mouse button finger. IMHO the WTR site is very good, but let down by some of the forum content. It tries to be many things, yet it really only needs to excel in one area (travel) in order to be successful. Still, who am I to keep bashing my head against a virtual brick wall. Bye Les

It's just that these dating/scam threads seem to attract the most flames or the people who start them (and those who get involved with the discussion) seem to get offended or bullied easily because of the sensitiveness of the issues involved (racism, personal relationships, genders etc.)

I don't know if anyone's suggested this, but might I propose that you move them to the Talk Lounge ? I don't think they belong in the other folders (Contexts/Myths or Russian People) and agree that this site isn't a dating site. On the other hand, it IS somewhat relevant to travelling to Russia. I find it shallow, but consent that there ARE people travelling here for that reason. So there is a connection, I think, and regardless of how naive they may be, there isn't anything inherently offensive, and they don't deserve to be deleted. So, it's not an option on the poll, but I'd say they belong in the 'Talk Lounge'.

I am having doubts whether this will be practical, but one has to try. The changes (moving theads) are reversable as nothing will be deleted. Please post your feedback about the new arrangement here. I will let you know how well this solution handles. This will probably run for a few days or a week. Should the arrangement be unfavourable for some reason, all posts will be moved to Talk Lounge regardless of where they have been moved as this is the general chat forum that is most suitable for such topics so long as they are not overly offensive. Thank you.

The only problem I'm worrying now is that Not Relevant is basically an unmoderated forum and we have absloutely no control over what can be said or not, and people genuinely seeking real answers will probably not get them. It may be worthwhile to move them to Personals instead. I do not think leaving them in Talk Lounge (most topics were there) is a good idea as it is already cluttering up the forum there. Anyway, I've isolated some of the more obvious cases (of someone asking if their 'russian woman' was a scammer) and a few others. You can take a look in Not Relevant.
